Martin Freeman’s introduction to The Sign of Four.
I debated whether to scan this but several people have their copies thanks to BBC Shop.
You can buy the Sherlock tie in novels via Amazon and BBC Shop where Sherlock books are currently 3 for the price of 2.

I went through different versions of this drawing. Originally it was just Sherlock standing alone with a bit of slouch and both hands in his pocket and I toyed around with that sketch for days until I finally scrapped it and drew a completely different pose. I put him in a pea coat to accentuate his legs but then decided to draw him in his long coat afterward. I drew him alone because he’s a BAMF but then it didn’t look right without John being there so I added him in but he stole the focus away from Sherlock so now I’m conflicted about which one I like so I thought I’d upload all of them on here.

Can I just say that one of my number-one, all-time, dying-of-awesome favorite things about Reichenbach is how John is so profoundly, consistently and obviously NOT impressed, intimidated or browbeaten by Mycroft?

BEST. COMMENTARY.
